A friend of mine who was settled abroad in Canada got married there, but he wanted to come to India to celebrate the marriage in Kashmir. As he was very much fascinated by house boat in Dal Lake, which is kind of floating hotel with all the luxury and wanted to do also sightseeing of Sommarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and along with local sightseeing of Srinagar and Specially Tulip Garden, so he asked me to engage a professional travel agency to execute this plan for them, as both of them working in a Multinational Company. So they were having limited time for Vaishno Devi to Kashmir tour as well as for honeymoon in Kashmir. So we gave this job of planning and executing this plan to a Professional Travel Company, Garhwal Himalayan Expedition and as per our friend own experience after availing the services of this Agency on this Tour, as peer his own words.
When we me and my wife arrived at Delhi International Airport, we were received in a very traditional Indian way with flower garland and it was a very nice pleasant surprise for us. As our flight landed in the afternoon so after a short brief break for lunch enroute we were offered transfer services towards the Volvo luxury coach stand from Delhi to Katra, this coach was having very comfortable Journey from Delhi to Katra and both of us were having a comfortable sleep overnight.
2ndDay : Today around breakfast time we were already at Katra, and someone was already present at the bus stand to assist us t take us to the hotel for short rest and change. So, that we can get ready for our next step as per the plan mentioned in ‘Vaishno Devi’, ‘Kashmir Tour’ we have to do the trekking towards the Holy Caves of Vaishno Devi shrine. It was a very nice trek.
Which was very well built with tiles and it was pleasure walking on this trek , it was quit well-built trek and any one right from child to aged person can walk although there were other option ponies were also available one can ride from Katra starting point and we were very much enjoying this trek, there were proper tea stall at both the side, so that we can enjoy tea or snacks whenever, it is required to take ret and get refreshment for all those who want to take some rest and keep on walking after around 6 to 7 hour walking we reached at Bhawan , our guide told us that there is locker available at the Bhawan to keep mobile and other things at the locker, because these things were not allowed inside the Vaishno devi Caves, we had very good Darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi it was Aarti time and we had aarti and Darshan after having wonderful Darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi Darshan, we were informed by our guide that next step of Vaishno Devi and Kashmir Tour, was that our flight helicopter ticket on the way back from Bhawan to Katra was booked.
And it was very well arranged and very comfortable flight by helicopter back to the starting point of trek after reaching back to the hotel we had nice dinner arranged by this company called Garwal Himalayan Expedition now we were totally relaxed to have the night stay, and got up early in the morning for next day Plan which was travelling from Katra to Srinagar by Road as per as per the tour of “Vaishno Devi and Kashmir Tour” and Honeymoon in Kashmir.
3rdDay: On this day we started our Journey from Katra to Shrinagar via Chanani Nashri Tunnel, Its India longest road Tunnel. It was also known as Dr. Shama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel, due to this Tunnel now this is shorter by 30 K.M from Jammu to Shrinagar after reaching Shrinagar we checked into hotel for night stay dinner and rest.
4thDay: Today we start our Journey as per the Plan of “Vaishno Devi and Kashmir Tour” from Shrinagar to Gulmarg and visit beautiful Khillenmarg tang marg, Gauri Shankar Temple, cable ride point and other places, Gulmarg is a s,all town and hill station and a very popular skiing destination of Kashmir, nature is at its best in Gulmarg, its surrounded by beautiful snow capped mountain, small Lakes, green grass field and valley of flowers and back to Shrinagar for night stay.
5thDay: Today after having our breakfast , we were getting ready as per the Plan indicates in, “Honeymoon in Kashmir” from got ready after early breakfast as per as our Plan of “Honeymoon in Kashmir”, and we are going to cover, Shankeracharya Temple, Mugal Garden, Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Botonical Garden, Chashmashai Garden, Tulip Garden, NehruGardenPariMahal, HazaratbalShrine,DalLake,Shikara ride, and night stay at our very special decorated House Boat Shrinagar to Sonamarg to enjoy snow glacier, fisher garden, water rafting point, and helipad after this, we came back to Shrinagar, for night stay.
6th Day Shrinagar local Sightseeing :
Today we got ready after early breakfast as per as our Plan of “Honeymoon in Kashmir”, and we are going to cover, Shankeracharya Temple, Mugal Garden, Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Botonical Garden, Chashmashai Garden, Tulip Garden, Nehru Garden Pari Mahal, Hazaratbal Shrine, Dal Lake, Shikara ride, and night stay at our very special decorated House Boat.
About Shrinagar, this city is located in the heart of Kashmir Valley it is also summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir, this city is famous for its natural beauty, garden water park, houseboats, called city of Lakes it is also called venice of the east.
There are so many mountain treks starts from here, this city called Shrinagar is also famous for handicrafts and dry fruits.
7thDay ShrinagartoPahalgam:
Today we were ready after breakfast as per the Plan of Honeymoon in Kashmir for Pahalgam and on the way to see Awantipora Pandus Mandir, Brahma Mandir, Aru Valley, Lidder Valley, Golf Course, Poshwan Park, Nehru Garden, Nunwan Base Camp, Amarnath Yatra starting point and overnight Stay at Pahalgam hotel for night stay.
About Pahalgam :
Pahalgam is beautiful and small hill station of Jammu and Kashmir, very famous Amarnath Yatra also starts from here, it’s the most ceric place, there are many trek hiking and fishing activities which one can do in this small beautiful town.
Very famous Lidder river flows beside Pahalgam, the distance from Shrinagar is only 95 K.M. the route to Amarnath Cave for all the religious group starts from Pahalgam there are many beautiful Company site our here.
8thDay : Pahalgam to Jammu/Katra drop for our ownward Journey back to Delhi as per the program of Vaishno Devi , Kashmir Tour, and Honeymoon in Kashmir we did early breakfast and got ready with our breakfast and packed our luggage for our Journey by comfortable sleeper coach back to Delhi from Pahalgam.
It was a memorable Tour and Honeymoon trip for us, for a life time.
