  • Day : 1 (Aurangabad)

    Our Ajanta Ellora adventure as a part of this fantastic Maharashtra Tour begins when we arrive at Aurangabad Railway Station. We head to the hotel to drop our bags and freshen up and head straight to the Ellora caves first. These 34 monasteries and temples, extending over more than 2 km, were dug side by side in the wall of a high basalt cliff dating back to A.D. 600 to 1000.   • Day : 2 (Aurangabad)

    This is the day marked for the Ajanta Caves, comprising of 29 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 CE. The caves include paintings and rock-cut sculptures described as among the finest surviving examples of ancient Indian art, particularly expressive paintings that present emotion through gesture, pose and form.   • Day : 3 (Aurangabad)

    Another famous heritage fort located in the state of Maharashtra, built by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's son Azam Shah in the memory of his mother Rabia-ud-Daurani. To no surprise at all, it bears a striking resemblance to Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of wife of Shah Jahan.
